Affiliate status is intended for individuals employed by private, non-profit, or non-governmental organizations who wish to stay informed and engaged with the public sector human resources (HR) community. Examples include insurance and benefit providers, actuarial firms, and software technology firms.
Affiliate status has access to PSHRA Bay Area webinars and services. An Affiliate is not a PSHRA Bay Area member, is not eligible to serve as an officer or member of the Board of Directors, and is not eligible to serve on Committees. Each Friend is an individual. Affiliates may be eligible to attend in-person Chapter events under event-specific guidelines. Please note that some PSHRA Bay Area events may be limited to public sector HR practitioners; these events will be clearly identified in promotional materials.

Individuals who own, are employed by, or work as consultants for private and non-profit sector firms retained by California public agencies, including law firms, human resource consultants, and retirees (retired annuitants actively working for a public agency are eligible to apply for a regular PSHRA membership while employed directly with a public agency). A Friend is not a PSHRA Bay Area member, is not eligible to serve as an officer or member of the Board of Directors, and is not eligible to serve on Committees. Each Friend is an individual. Friends are eligible to attend in-person Chapter events under event-specific guidelines.
PSHRA National Members

You must be a currently PSHRA National member in active status to qualify as a PSHRA National Member. Membership status will be verified by searching the National directory. If you have opted out of the directory, you will need to provide proof of current membership status before your membership can be activated.
Student Member

No automatically recurring payments
You must be currently enrolled in a college or university to become a Student Member. Please indicate current school affiliation and expected graduation date. Applications without this information will be held, regardless of payment status, until your status as a student is confirmed.
